Introduction to Campus Technology Resources for Students
Most of our buildings are wireless throughout. During the 2017/2018 school year, Cedar Crest is updating the wireless system throughout campus. By the summer of 2018, our campus, including outside areas, will be wifi-accessible. For best performance on the College wireless network, make sure your device supports 802.11ac wireless standard. Most current devices support this. (Other wireless standards will work but at decreased performance.)
All web-based services, including the Cedar Crest College web site, Office365 and email, My CedarCrest, Online Course materials, and online library journals are available to off-campus users. To access these resources, you will need to contract with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) of your choice. There is no installation support available for off-campus users.
Guests can use the College’s guest wireless network in several public areas on campus. In addition, guests can sign in at the Cressman Library to be logged onto a lab station for network access.
Please note, however, that guests do not have printing privileges on campus.
